FU1600 Knee-Type Milling Machine is a professional universal metal milling machine designed for machining large and heavy components. The FU1600 has been designed as an industrial knee-type milling machine for demanding machining processes. The 1600x500mm table with a load capacity of 1,800kg enables stable clamping of heavy workpieces and extensive machining tooling. Travels of 1,200mm on the X axis, 700mm on the Y axis and 500mm on the Z axis provide a wide positioning range relative to the tool.
The quiet-running vertical spindle gearbox uses hardened and ground gears, supporting stable operation of the drive mechanism. The universal milling head, swivelling in two planes, extends the spindle positioning range and enables machining of surfaces requiring a change in the tool approach angle.
One of the machine's key assemblies is the spindle with an ISO50 taper. The speed range includes 27 steps from 30 to 2,050rpm, allowing the rotational parameters to be matched to the tool diameter, material type and nature of the operation.
