DSP laser safety system

Automatic adjustment of the back gauge (X axis) and R axis (manual option*). The R axis facilitates bending with larger radii, e.g. using a step bending system.
Optional adjustment of backgauge fingers on axes Z1, Z2, R1, R2, X1, X2 with servomotors.
To achieve satisfactory results in step bending, certain calculations are necessary, requiring knowledge of several key parameters related to the bending process — these include:
- Arc length – the distance between the ends of the bent sheet curve measured along the inner side of the bend;
- Number of bends – the number of single bends that must be performed to obtain a bent sheet with a specific radius; the greater the number of bends, the smaller the individual bending angle, resulting in a smoother curve;
- Distance between bends – the spacing between individual bends made during the process.
Although the step bending process may seem quite complex, CORMAK machines and software are so advanced that they take over many of these calculations and adjustments from the operator.
