Masonry Block Bandsaw CORMAK CS350 for Aerated Concrete and Bricks

Reference:
CS350
Manufacturer: CORMAK

The CORMAK CS350 masonry band saw is designed to cut masonry units to the dimensions required for construction projects. Its cutting capacity of up to 650mm in height, 420mm in width and 650mm in length accommodates blocks of various proportions. The 710 × 1,060mm sliding worktable supports the workpiece and allows it to move relative to the blade during cutting. The 1.85kW motor requires a 400V power supply. The CORMAK CS350 is suitable for masonry work involving regular cutting of hollow and solid blocks to size.

Description

CORMAK CS350 Masonry Block Band Saw – Cutting Masonry Units to Size

Standard building materials do not always match the dimensions specified in wall construction plans. The CORMAK CS350 masonry block band saw is designed for preparing cut-to-size masonry units for building and masonry work. Its main advantage is the ability to cut elements up to 650mm high, which is particularly important when working with larger block formats. The sliding worktable combines a supporting surface with the ability to move the material relative to the saw blade. This allows masonry units to be prepared at a single workstation to match the dimensions required for successive stages of wall construction, while maintaining control over the positioning of the workpiece.

Key Advantages of the CORMAK CS350

  • Cutting capacity for tall blocks – the working capacity accommodates blocks of considerable height, without limiting planned cuts to smaller formats. This is important when preparing masonry units of different proportions.
  • Sliding worktable – the workpiece can move together with the table, making it easier to organise material feeding into the cutting area. The workpiece remains supported as the table moves.
  • Clearly defined power requirements – the 1.85kW motor operating on a 400V supply allows the appropriate electrical connection to be prepared in advance.
  • Clearly specified cutting system parameters – the 34 × 4,120mm saw blade dimensions make it easier to identify the required replacement blade, while the blade speed of 140m/min specifies the speed at which the blade moves.
  • Cutting masonry units to planned wall dimensions – the ability to prepare units to specified dimensions supports work requiring sizes other than those supplied as standard.

CS350 Cutting Capacity – What Block Dimensions Can Be Accommodated?

The suitability of the band saw depends on three parameters that must be considered separately: maximum cutting height of 650mm, width of 420mm and length of 650mm. For tall hollow blocks, the first dimension is particularly important; for wider or longer pieces, the other working limits become equally significant.

Before selecting the machine, it is worth comparing these limits with the actual dimensions of the workpiece and the intended cutting direction. The orientation of the block on the table and the position of the planned cutting line are also important. The maximum values do not automatically mean that all three limits can be used simultaneously with material of any shape. This comparison helps determine whether the CS350 is suitable for the block formats typically used on a particular construction site.

Sliding Worktable – Supporting the Material During Cutting

The 710 × 1,060mm worktable provides a surface for positioning hollow or solid blocks. During cutting, the material moves together with the table relative to the saw blade, rather than being pushed directly across a stationary worktop.

The 750mm table height helps determine the material feeding level when planning the workstation. When positioning the machine, allowance should also be made for the space required for table movement and placing completed cut pieces. Organising the workstation in this way allows the material preparation area to be separated from the area where cut pieces are collected, which is useful for repetitive masonry tasks.

Masonry Applications for the CORMAK CS350

Around door and window openings, cut-to-size blocks are used to fill sections shorter than a full block. At corners and wall ends, they allow the final unit in a course to be adjusted to the planned masonry layout.

The band saw is also suitable for preparing sections of non-standard length resulting from the arrangement of successive masonry courses. In each case, the operator works to a specific dimension rather than selecting a piece solely from the available standard sizes. This applies both to individual adjustments and to preparing batches of units for subsequent wall sections. Proper use requires that the material being cut is compatible with the intended application of the fitted saw blade and the machine's working capacity.

Transporting the CORMAK CS350 Masonry Block Band Saw

The CORMAK CS350 is designed for transport in a horizontal position, making it easier to move the band saw between construction sites and workstations. This provides greater flexibility when organising transport, particularly for construction teams working at different locations.
