Description

Rotary Axis 80mm — precise marking of cylindrical and irregular components

The rotary attachment for CO₂ marking systems extends the range of applications to 360° engraving and marking on round, conical and irregular elements. With stable workpiece support and smooth angle adjustment, it helps maintain consistent engraving quality around the circumference, reduces auxiliary setup time and speeds up serial production. A robust and universal addition to any workstation — particularly valuable where repeatability and legibility of markings across the entire surface are essential.

Process advantages

  • 360° marking repeatability — easy positioning and angle control ensure uniform spacing and geometry of engraving around the part.
  • Fewer setups, shorter working time — the part is rotated instead of repositioned, enabling faster production of serial numbers or logos.
  • Improved readability and aesthetics — stable rotation and firm clamping minimise “steps” and misalignments between consecutive engraving sections.
  • Versatile applications — 80mm chuck and wide clamping ranges allow work “by circumference” or “by inner hole”.

Applications

Marking and engraving of cups, sleeves, tubes, rings, handles, holders, short profiles and other components with circular or irregular cross-sections. Perfect for serial personalisation and technical identification marks.

Selection and integration in practice

  • Mechanical compatibility: verify the available space on the worktable and mounting method of the attachment.
  • Control compatibility: if using the 4th axis in synchronous mode, ensure that your system supports the required signals and control modes.
  • Workpiece geometry: choose clamping “by circumference” or “by hole” and set the correct angle to minimise runout.
  • Process conditions: maintain a stable focal distance throughout the rotation range — this is key for consistent depth and contrast.
